Working with Pantones Post #4

Image
What I have learned about Pantone colors is that they can be used in both RGB and CMYK color modes, ensuring that colors look the same on both digital screens and in print. The best file format for printing with Pantone colors is PDF because it can embed both CMYK and Pantone colors, maintaining consistency across different devices and printers. I feel confident with my current understanding of designing with Pantone colors, but I believe further practice and learning will help me improve even more.

Elements and Principles of Design Blog Post #2

Image
I use the elements and principles of design in all my projects because they help make my designs look neat and visually appealing. These principles ensure my designs don’t appear cluttered or unbalanced. For example, I often use repetition. By repeating certain elements, I create a sense of pattern and harmony, avoiding overwhelming the viewer. However, I make sure not to overdo it; I believe in the principle of 'less is more,' ensuring my designs are simple yet effective.

Color and Application Post #3

Image
The focus of my design was on Travis Scott in his customized Batman costume for Halloween. While there wasn’t a specific message I intended to convey, I believe it highlights the idea that when you have significant wealth, you have the freedom to create whatever you desire, as seen with his custom-made Batman outfit. I chose brown as the primary color because it aligns with his personal aesthetic—brown is his favorite color. I didn't have to put much thought into the color choice, as not only does he love brown, but his fans also embrace it, incorporating it into their own style and aesthetics. Overall, I feel successful with this cutout design project.

Logo Touch Up Post #3

Image
I was able to retouch a logo from low resolution to high resolution using two apps: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. In Photoshop, I used the Match Font tool to recreate the LATTC logo, and I adjusted the settings to make it as sharp and neat as the original logo. In Adobe Illustrator, I used Image Trace, which traces the entire image, and again adjusted the settings to make it look exactly like the original logo.

Composition and Photography

Image
Some of the things that I have learned after the presentation on Composition and Photography are that in order to take a really good photo you must use one of the compositions like rule of thirds. One of my favorites is the frame within a frame because it stands out to me. I enjoy taking my own pictures and I wouldn't want to pay for some pictures because I can learn how to take those pictures myself without any cost. These are some photos that use the rule of thirds composition.

Diego's Blog Design and Post #1

Image
Hello, my name is Diego — welcome to my blog! I’ve been taking graphic design classes for almost a year now, and I still consider myself a beginner. While I’ve learned a lot about the world of graphic design, I know there’s still so much more to explore and improve on. One of my biggest goals is to learn how to effectively advertise a product or item, especially because I’m planning to start my own clothing business in the near future. I’m excited to keep growing and sharing my journey with you here!
